Naples (Napoli) is the main city and capital of the region Campania. Naples is a major commercial port and famous all over the world for being the birthplace of pizza. Vesuvius is always looming in the background, it destroyed nearby Pompeii in 79AD. Naples is also the starting point to explore the Amalfi Coast, the islands of Ischia and Capri, the Royal Palace in Caserta, and the ancient ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii.
