The region of Umbria is called the green heart of Italy and it’s also the only region in central-south Italy not surrounded by water. Umbria has become more and more popular in the past few decades with tourists visiting Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Orvieto, Norcia and many medieval towns spread out across the entire region.
